Refund Policy
Document joymux.doc.refund · Version 0.1.0 · Singapore law
1. What this covers
This policy covers refunds for JoyMux Pro commercial subscriptions billedper install through JoyPay. Current product offer on this site: $348/year (~$28/mo equivalent). Currency is USD unless JoyPay states otherwise. This page does not process payments inside the JoyMux binary. It does not diminish rights that cannot be waived under Singapore consumer protection law (including, where applicable, the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003).
2. Who handles money
| System | Role |
|---|---|
| JoyPay | Checkout, charges, refunds execution, tax/invoice records, entitlement lease refresh/revoke |
| JoyMux | Local software; reads leases; does not collect cards or issue refunds |
| JoyLegal | Compliance / legal interpretation if a dispute becomes a registered matter |
3. 14-day money-back
Unless JoyPay checkout states a different cool-off for a specific offer, JoyMux Pro includes a14-day money-back path from the first charge for that install:
- Request within fourteen (14) days of the first JoyPay charge for the install.
- For annual prepaid ($348/yr), JoyPay may issue a full refund of that first charge when the request is timely; after fourteen days, yearly fees are generally non-refundable except as in §4–§5.
- Pilot / invitation builds provided at no charge have no cash refund.
Parent brand: JoyMux is a JoyOrGenie product. Billing identity remains with JoyPay at checkout.
4. Service issues
You may request a refund or service credit when:
- JoyPay charged you but failed to issue or refresh a valid entitlement lease for the paid period; or
- a documented defect in an officially supplied binary prevents install/run for a material part of the paid period and we cannot provide a fix or workaround within a reasonable time.
Local device problems, unsupported platforms, misuse, reverse engineering, or third-party cloud/token spend from agents you authorized are not refund grounds.
5. Chargebacks and disputes
Contact JoyPay support / your pilot coordinator before filing a chargeback so we can inspect lease and billing evidence. Unjustified chargebacks may lead to install revocation. Statutory complaint rights remain available.
6. How to request
- Open a request via JoyPay portal, checkout support channels, or your pilot coordinator.
- Include install id, SKU (JoyMux Pro annual), charge date, and reason.
- JoyPay decides and executes approved refunds; JoyMux then observes the resulting lease state.
7. Effect of refund
Approved refunds generally revoke or shorten the corresponding entitlement lease. You must stop using paid features after revocation.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The version linked from packaging / JoyPay at the time of purchase applies to that charge unless law requires otherwise.
9. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of Singapore. Consumer rights that cannot be excluded under Singapore law prevail over conflicting wording. Parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
